kamikaze header........... but what cat?

kami's are sometimes bad for fitment. but i just had my muffler shop cut off the 2.5->stock reducer, weld in a flex pipe, and buy a plain carsound 2.5" high flow. paid 90 bucks for the cat.

can someone please tell me what cat will bolt up to the kamikaze 99 si header. where did you guys buy it online at? and what was the model of the cat?

im going to dyno tune my car soon and want to put this on asap before i go.

I'm looking at going from 2.25" to 2.5". I have the piping, just saving up cash for the muffler and will finish it off with a kami header.

Nice find. Are these cats good though? I heard they clog up after like 10k miles. Or is it one of those ''I heard stories''?

Taken directly from the website. I got the biggest resonator I could fit under there to quiet it down a bit.

The air tube is used on some other car models. The car injects more air into the cat to increase effiency. Honda's dont use the air injection so get the one without the air tube. As far as the quality goes I am not sure how good they are, but I have had mine for a year now with no issues as far as i know. I did have a Random Technology cat a few years ago that lost its core and clogged up my exhaust.

WOW! this is a good find. so if i buy the cat, im assuming ill have to buy the 02 sensor nut bung separately and let an exhaust shop weld it in so i can hook up the secondary o2 sensor on the old stock cat to it. not like i need it anyways cause ill be running on p28 and hondata, i just dont want it to be dangling around. putting a second o2 sensor on the cat will allow me to run a wideband on it right? if i do put a second o2 bung on the cat, what do i use to plug it up?

oh ya, hondata and a p28 doesnt pass smog in CA on a 99 civic si, correct? so ill need the o2 bung and o2 simulator anyways when i smog the car again, right? and swapping the oem injectors and ecu back in.

You know that this CAT has no flanges at all on it...none of the carsounds do....and yes you need to get the 02 bungs welded in. I think they sell them on the same ebay store as the CAT.
